Mobile phone not working

Hello all, few days before my mother’s mobile phone accidentally fell on the floor and the screen cracked. Although I tried to switch it, it didn’t turn on . She has been using Xiaomi phone for 4 months and it was working well. Can anyone suggest how to fix this? Do i need to take this for a repair?
