    The modded bios from wootever @ Xda, yes. It helps and the boot logo is now an Intel one instead of Cube.

    Battery life seems about the same, maybe a tad less, but hardly noticeable.

    I am also using the modified BIOS and it works fine (it also kinds fixed my windows key problem)

    Are there any problems with using the modified bios?  I think I read on XDA that there may be some noticeable coil whine.

    Please keep in mind that it is a modified BIOS that has many more changes than just changing the boot logo.
