Hello, Tech Tablet enthusiasts! Please excuse my ignorance and indulge in my arrogance as I ask you something you’ve probably heard a lot — I need help choosing the right device for me.
So a little information. I’ve used smartphones (and iPods) as my “daily drivers” for years. I have an old laptop, but ’tis a heavy lemon that was once running 32-bit Windows Vista. Yeah… Completely useless to me.
Anyway, I’ve started a new course, and they’ve told me I’ll pretty much need a device to do their work and type out documents and whatnot, so I guess I must find one, but I’m completely clueless, as there are a ton of choices, and laptops here in AUS are so expensive, so I’ve turned to the Chinese market.
My budget: $400 – $450AUD ($300-$350USD)
Top priorities:
– Has to be adequate at average work/study. Word, Excel, multiple applications at times etc. A good screen for that, and media consumption.
– I like to read books and manga, so I’d be open to a Windows tablet, but if the keyboard attachments are garbage, I’d just stick with laptops.
That’s about it. If anyone wishes to help, that’d be great. Thank you.
