August 20, 2016 at 7:49 pm #47485norman,
Did USB just stop working on its own or did you change BIOS settings first?
You don’t have Windows but what about Android? If yes is it rooted? What’s the serial number of your tablet?
August 20, 2016 at 7:59 pm #47486i bought the tab and only android worked. Tried to boot into Windows…but black screen.
In Android the OTG dont work. I dont need windows, but i need OTG in Android.
So i go into bios (there the keyboard worked = OTG worked there) and changed the settings for USB OTG (didnt know that activating means, that it doesnt worked afterwards).
I tried many thing now…only flashing the newest official rom with the manufactor tool (non rooted)
I also tried the things on page 1
Replacing <device> (i.e. no angle brackets)with the device name: type “fastboot -s <device name> flash osloader efilinux-userdebug.efi” <enter>
this worked
Replacing <device> (i.e. no angle brackets)with the device name: type “fastboot -s <device name> boot recovery.img” <enter>
failed
tried to install TWRP but get (see attachment)

bios_flasher.efi
bios_orig_signed.bin
can i flash this in any way?
August 20, 2016 at 8:22 pm #47490That looks like recovery not DnX mode. Assuming the Hi8 works in the same way as the Vi10 (which is the closest hardware to the Hi8 that I have):
- Power off your tablet.
- Hold the volume button farthest from the power button as well as the power button.
- You should get a boot menu, use the volume buttons to select Android and press power to select it.
- Power down your tablet.
- Hold the volume button closest to the power button and the power button.
With any luck you should get to DnX mode.
The files you mention are UEFI Shell based, without a keyboard you can’t use them directly…
August 20, 2016 at 8:31 pm #47492i can go into dnx mode…but what to do now?
August 20, 2016 at 8:35 pm #47494The fastboot commands that didn’t work the first time, don’t forget you need the recovery.img from the Hi8 TWRP package here.
August 20, 2016 at 8:35 pm #47495You were in Droidboot mode. From there you could also boot TWRP just type “fastboot flash recovery recovery.img” then select recovery with the volume keys and accept with power. <– Did that after fixing my BIOS issue.
August 20, 2016 at 8:42 pm #47497wow…hehehe…used the wrong recovery…
and how to repair the bios? Or is it only to get android working?
August 20, 2016 at 8:45 pm #47498Tschuuuls, what took you so long? 🙂
norman, You have TWRP running now?
August 20, 2016 at 8:47 pm #47499yes…it´s running
August 20, 2016 at 8:56 pm #47500Good, I think we’ll use ADB. Presumably you have ADB with fastboot etc.? I’ll package some stuff for you and post back soon…
August 20, 2016 at 9:08 pm #47501ok thx…i have new official BIOS (for bootable stick of course) and Rom and ADB worked on PC
