New Cube Mix Plus and won't charge, suspect it's not new

I just got this from the Gearbest flash sale, and when it arrived I noticed the sticker that seals the box was cut open already. The tablet still looks new though.

First powerup showed battery power at 66%,but that could be due to discharge in storage. So I plugged in the charger. Nothing happened, charging was not detected. About an hour later the power was at 33%, still not charging. Eventually it reached 0% and shut down and now I can’t get it to power on again even with the charger plugged in.

I also noticed that there was a user account called “Alldocube” on it. Is this the default factory account?

And I could not get the Wacom intuous 4 pen to be detected at all. Is this pen supposed to work with it?

Have you tried an USB-C charger?
For the default DC jack it is quite common that the V+ pin might detach itself from the mainboard, which results in no possible charging.
