    Hi guys!

So I’ve been a lurker here for a few months now and I still can’t make up my mind regarding the RAM on Windows tablets.
I’ve been debating with myself whether or not to go for a 4 GB RAM tablet or wait until a decent 8 GB version comes out. The engineer in me tells me to go for 8 GB for my own tablet since I’m more of a power user as it’s going to replace my laptop too.

8 GB tablets is all fine and dandy but the choices are quite limited in my case. Excluding the narrow market there’s also the cost issue.
Anyway, begone with CPU’s like Atom, I want new & shiny Intel ones as it’s more versatile in the gaming section. That got me thinking.. Is the extra RAM really worth it? Assuming 4 GB RAM I’d say Windows wants 1 GB for itself. The GPU memory will be at least 512-1024 MB more. Add 1 GB for miscellaneous like a browser, etc.

That usage ends up being a total of 2.5 – 3 GB RAM, doing every day stuff. For gaming that leaves between 1 to 1.5 GB RAM. I don’t know how games like GTA 5 handles that. It might be feasible, but still.. It’s cutting it close. 8 GB is preferred of course – I’m really hoping the Teclast X5 Pro turns out solid when Chris churns it through his testing.

Any thoughts from the community on this? Anyone with prior experience with 4 GB tablets, perchance?

I have 4GB and need 8GB, the more the better. IĀ find my memory get used up fast just browsing internet. I may have a poor install and am ready to format.
Cube i9 is what i have.

With this amazing applock (LEO Privacy), nobody can unlock and see your apps and see your hidden files (pictures, music, videos, etc.), hide videos and photos right now! This app helps me a lot!!!
