    Hi,

If you get a good one the Hi12 screen is really nice and I recommend it. The Tbook11 and iCube10 Ultimate screens aren’t bad, the iwork10 one is a bit better than the Tbook11’s due it bring brighter and has almost no gap.

It’s down to luck if you get a good unit with all Chinese tablets, it seemed there was a bad batch of Chuwi Hi12s that didn’t power on. I have brought two Windows models and 2 dual OS ones and they are all fine. Only one had an issue, a spec of dust under the screen, lucky for me it was just at the very top and hardly noticeable. They were for resale anyway.

That’s why I kinda sorted out th Chuwi Hi12 already.

Chuwi seems to have some problems with their quality control (if they have any at all).

So I guess I’ll try the Cube iWork 10 Ultimate.

Maybe Teclast or Cube are going to build a device with the screen of the Hi 12 (togehter with a better CPU).

For now it should be enough for my requirements.

I can’t speak for the other tablets, but I received my hi12 nearly a week ago. No problems with it so far. Maybe that bad batch is in the past?

I just ordered the iwork 10 ultimate, mainly because the tbook 11 does not have any full sized USB port, not even on the keyboard case. Only way is to use an USB OTG cable but if you do that, you can’t charge the tablet since there is only 1 microUSB port on the tablet and there is no DC Port for charging.

I find the lack of DC port kind of frustrating given the usually slow charging times from USB.

USB C doesn’t seem to be a rock solid standard yet and there are NUMEROUS instances of non spec cables at worst frying devices

just Google “Google engineer USB C”

A Google engineer has been testing USB type C cables on Amazon after cooking a laptop.

This is an issue that probably deserves its own topic if not a sticky.

    I’m curious about the

Cube iwork10 Ulimate TYPE C EDITION.

I guess this is probably a joke when USB 3 (Rather than 3.1) has been wired straight into a type C connector 5#1t !

I have never met a USB cable I cannot break!

Have you ever had to chase up warranty?

    Sounds like a dreadful idea.

Torn between these tablets as well.

any more feedback on the Cube iWork or Chuwi hi12?

USB-C  plus the additional USB ports seem useful and the i know it is a risk with the screen on the Chuwi hi12.    What about the Chuwi Hibook 2 into the mix?
