    hi you all.

    I own the A6C7 dual OS model. It has a 2mp camera instead of the 5mp camera on the rear. That’s the only difference I found so far.

    I’ve noticed that they only release updates for the A5C8 model (as far as I read from topics). Any body knows why.? Or am I mistaken????

    I don’t understand: you are talking about “Android files v1.07 for A5C8”

    Is this another distribution of Android 5.1, not the Mirek ?

    Because I use “mirek190_v3_20160418”.

    And you mention also “X98 Plus (A5C8) – Dual System -Android5.1-V1.05 firmware version: first release.”

    Could you explain please ?

    Thank you !

    @Jacques

    This is an update for the 1.05 stock rom, if you flash it you will loose root access. I do not know what happens, if you update the Mirek rom, but I think its not a good idea.

    @Zedaycee

    • download adb fastboot tools
    • download the attached SuperSU file
    • download TWRP recovery for A5C8
    • copy SuperSU file to your internal SD card
    • start the Boot Loader mode
    • use fastboot to flash the TWRP recovery ( if not done before 😉 )
    • boot into TWRP Recovery mode
    • install the SuperSU Zip file
    • reboot system
    • device should be rooted again

    To download the required files please follow the links below.

    Regards

    Verdeler

    PS: Maybe one of the admins can delete the attached files, since I was not able to upload all necessary files.

    Did anyone succeed flashing this on dual boot device, specifically with the latest Geekbuying firmware installed?

    I can flash the Android update 1.05 of Geekbuying with Intel Flash Tool but not this update, storage layout related?

    Edit: nevermind, I manually flashed system.img and boot.img with fastboot.
