    Hi Carl,

Think I am in the same boat. Does it look like the attached image? Hope there is a key combo to open a hidden menu but no luck finding one yet. Bazzan

Do any of you two have problems with the keyboard (like has been described on this forum)? This new BIOS may have been put in place to fix that.

You mean the CPU power limit settings? Yes, new models have different bios that has it disabled. But use the software method to increase the power limits.

@Impie: I recieved my ezbook today and I have also no chipset features in the bios. However, I do not have any issues with the keyboard or touchpad.

Does anyone knows if it´s possible to tweak the settings of the EMMC drive with a software method?

Just received my laptop (V4) yesterday as well. No keyboard problems (three + keys at same time workes and no lag) but no Chipset or Advanced settings in Bios. Guess I will have to buy an SSD and do software tweak for power limit then. Still, rather this than unusable keyboard 🙂

Is there a way to do the power tweaks in Linux? I don’t use Windows.

I received the ezbook 3 pro V4 ordered from Gearbest yesterday, but I could not find ‘Advanced’ & ‘Chipset’ settings either.

Additionally there is serious problem with my laptop. When the notebook is turned on, it goes straight into the bios and starts flickering forever. It happens every single time, and it doesn’t stop until I control it. Also, I can’t charge my notebook with basic AC adapter. There is no response from the system.

This is my first purchase from GearBest, but I’m really disappointed about quality management.

I contacted support center yesterday, just hope to get a full refund without any trouble. 🙁

u use the wrong side for charging, the left hole is the headphone jack, the right one is for charging. But don’t worry, u be not the first one who choose the wrong hole 😛

For the video. that looks that there are button stucks in the keyboard, probably the “DEL” for entering Bios and “ESC” for exiting. They both have normal pressure point or feel different like the others ?

I think our model is the newer ones that have a different bios with power limit.

Haha , yup the charging port is at the right side, that’s definitely the ‘wrong hole’.

    Quick Update

    1. Charging Problem [Solved] – Silly Mistakes. I didn’t recognized the charging port at the right side. So Amateur 🙁
    2. When Laptop is turned on, It starts Filckering
First, I thought that there are some kind of stuck problem in the keyboard. But the real problem is the M.2 SSD Slot.
I can’t figured out exactly why, but the issue was resolved by removing the SSD from the laptop.
I changed different SSD Model, the result is the same. I just assume that there are some defects in the slot.

The refund policy of Gearbest is terrible, so I just decided to use it.

Still I’m quite disappointed that the bios has power limt, and faulty SSD Slot.

Should be possible. Haven’t tried myself (still waiting for ssd for dual boot).

Try installing msr-tools and then set the register 0x610 to 0x00000000 (power=unlimited). Something like this maybe?:

    sudo apt-get install msrtools
    sudo modprobe msr
    sudo wrmsr -p0 0x610 0x00000000
