To enable touch:
http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/teclast-x98-pro-chinese-edition-how-to-do-a-fresh-win-10-install/
Once the install is complete. Install the drivers. You will need a hub and mouse for this. To restore the touch screen. Move the touchsetting.gt file (in the drivers download) after installing the goodix driver to C:/Windows/inf and reboot.
And regarding RAM… Have you installed Windows 10 64 bits version?
January 7, 2016 at 12:43 pm #21470I did everything like in that discussion, i formated the tablet using my laptop’s OS(x64 only) in GPT partition.
I formated with the help of a hub, mouse and keyboard, and installed the drivers using the double driver backup, i overlooked the touchsetting.gt file, so thanks for that.
The only thing weird is it only has 2GB ram available..
January 7, 2016 at 1:35 pm #21471I’m going to try format it again using the mediacreation tool. I feel like something is off from the format phase. Will let you know.
January 8, 2016 at 1:36 am #21526Alright so …
Did everything like the tutorial on how to format Teclast X98 Pro, plus formatted about 2-3 now but the tablet still detects ONLY 2gb RAM, not 4 as it was before…
Yes, i used a x64 setup only, and still the problem persists…
Any idea?
January 8, 2016 at 5:17 am #21534First make sure that BIOS is recognising the whole 4GB by going into BIOS setup and looking at the total memory.

Good point Jonathan, i did and the BIOS only detects 2048MB (DDR3).
Any idea why?
Thanks
January 8, 2016 at 12:47 pm #21555Yes, but not one you’ll like: hardware issue with the RAM.
Probably worth while poking around in BIOS and seeing if there are any settings that are wrong (don’t disable any USB ports or mess with any settings you don’t understand).
If you’re lucky it might be a firmware issue that can be fixed with an upgrade/downgrade. Unfortunately I don’t know this device well enough to help you further but if you ask around in the right places you might find someone who can help.
January 8, 2016 at 2:07 pm #21560One extra thought: You could try flashing the stock Android ROM, this seems to push capsules to the BIOS which might help you with the issue if something got overwritten due to a BIOS bug (the BIOS on the x98 Pro seems very buggy).
January 10, 2016 at 12:17 am #21726I figured it out.
Spoke with my seller from Aliexpress and she spoke with teclast support.
Apparently when i formatted the tablet the channel in the BIOS, went from dual to Single, just had to switch it back to Dual so it can read 4GB instead of 2GB.
It was THAT simple ._.
January 10, 2016 at 6:07 am #21737Thanks for posting back the answer, for future reference how did you switch back to dual channel exactly please?

I always accessed the BIOS through the Advanced boot option in recovery tab on Definitions.
So i did that, going to the UEFI firmware boot wich tells you to reboot and then you’re in the BIOS. Or simply get into the BIOS by your own methods, this is how i do, no need to follow if you can acess the BIOS easier than this.
On the BIOS front page, you have a “Channel Selection” option wich you can set to Single, Dual or Auto.
I know so far that Single only reads 1 memory ram in this case, only 2gbRAM were being read.
And Dual is what you want. Dual reads both 2GB rams, wich makes 4GB.
I never tried auto so i won’t dwell, but for some reason when i formatted my tablet it went from dual to single without knowing.
Always remember to try and speak with your seller and maybe he does a better job at reaching the tablet brand company so they can help you. That’s what i did.
Thanks for all your help.
