If the charger uses that port it is likely that the port is only used for charging, if you can try the cable with a different machine
September 15, 2016 at 8:34 pm #49853As I said I dont have any other type c device. Normally type c in chuwi vi10 plus is power and data.

I have a sneaking suspicion the port is charge only, do you know if anyone else has used that for data?
September 16, 2016 at 9:11 pm #49928Yes. Chris in his review. 15 minutes and 40 seconds ?the USB type C powers up and gives access to an external HDD
September 16, 2016 at 9:20 pm #49929Then I would suggest either trying a different cable or see if a friend has something with a type c connector
September 17, 2016 at 11:42 am #50006I will get one. I compared the connector with the one from the charger and it is shorter. I think this is the problem.
September 20, 2016 at 6:15 pm #50287Ok, let us know the outcome
September 20, 2016 at 6:28 pm #50288Well, the tablet is going back to China so … no tablet no port not nothing 🙁

Oh, is it being RMA’d or full refund?
September 23, 2016 at 6:57 pm #50478RMA so shipping back on me but… I hope paypal will refund 30 out 36 EUR I paid. I also put some pressure on gearbest and they promissed 250 extra points. I would really advise to stay away from the Vi10 plus at least for now.

Good to know, are you getting something different to replace it?
September 23, 2016 at 8:25 pm #50483Don’t know. Originally I wanted a nice 9.7 tablet but they are almost OOP and the last teclast is horrible. Chuwi vi 10 plus was really good looking, great external build quality and cheap with a nice 3:2 screen. I am not so sure about getting a 16:10 ratio tablet as it’s better for movies but not browsing which I mainly will use the tablet for. I’m wondering f the difference between 3:2 and 16:10 is significant / noticeable?

Hmm, I cant say cause I’ve never used anything with that ratio. I myself got the 13.3″ voyo v3 ultrabook (I’ve also bricked it, waiting on a SOIC8 clip to fix it) I got that cause it suited the reasons I needed it for, the light gaming was just icing on the cake lol
