A liitle update to charging issue: i bought several cables (22AWG,18AWG) and all i could get in the tablet when turned on using blitzwolf charger was around 968 mW according to battery bar. I even got a new micro usb charger 5V and up to 3A and the most i got was 1440 mW and it varies from 528 mW (which is normal charge rate with all other cables and chargers i get when tablet turned on) to 700 mW to 968 mW and to 1008 mw, basicly everything from 528 to 1440 mW. Interesting thing is when i plug charger into tablet it shows 528 mW and than it goes up to whatever number it gets in couple of minutes. But the Windows battery icon shows the same time of charge left no matter how much the input is according to battery bar. Does anyone has simmilar experience with charging their tablet and what is charging input you get in battery bar when tablet turned on. It really bothers me this slow and painfull charging when tablet on, so any comments or suggestions are much appreciated.

I get about the same thing as you Peter. Here are my results at 85% charged, 25% screen bright, Wifi on, BT off.
On battery 650mw discharge at 25% bright. 800mw at 50% bright

Stock TC charger and cable……………………….960 mw BatteryBar charge rate. Without inline meter.
The cheapo usb amp meter I have says I am drawing 1.5 A at 750 mw charge rate on BatteryBar.

    BlackBerry PlayBook 1.8A 2 wire charger……………1,120 mw

I noticed that at 25% bright, if unplug the charger it goes to 50%.
With the meter I also noticed that if I just giggled the cable a bit the amps went down and it took a few minutes to go back up again.

Thnx Max for the info. It s good to know that at least now with new charger i get similar current input to what others are getting. One more thing; when tablet was in sleep mode and i woke it up battery bar was reading around 1700 mW charge input. The highest i could get with tablet on.

Oh you’re having issues charging while on?

Both the charger that arrived with it and my asus tablet charger both charge it fine, while in use. Not noticed it charging slowly but I don’t have a way to monitor it atm.

Yes, but now with new charger things are getting better. You can install BatteryBar app to monitor your battery status.

    Hi all,

regarding OTG+Charge issue, I tried to reboot in UEFI while using ACASIS OTG+USB hub on position 2.
Under UEFI, mouse is working well while the tablet still charges.
It thus appears that the problem of not seeing the devices when charging starts while booting in Windows 10.

Do anyone experienced the same behavior?

So. There is no hub, so far, that has been verified to charge + OTG? I posted in another thread that I ordered the white port hub from ebay, but I haven’t got it yet. Chris, does your white port hub charge on #2 with OTG?

To be honest, I really don’t see this as issue for me. The battery life on this thing for normal tasks is 7-8 hrs. A5C6 windows only. Not even tempted to plug it in….good!

It’s quite an issue for me.. Wanted to use this thing as a laptop alternative but this complicates matters. With BT keyboard and mouse connected all the time, there is no way how to charge it..

I thought so too but it really makes things less complicated for me. I have one dongle for mouse/keyboard 2.4 Ghz.
I also found that a BT mouse plays nice with WiFi but a BT mouse/keyboard combo does not.
If I want to charge it, I plug it in and use the BT mouse for a couple hours.

Peter, I was reading the comments on the review of the white port hub Chris has on youtube and a guy posted a link to the white port hub on ebay. The seller is gameszone.no1. Even cheaper than the semi-useless one I got from BG.

I picked one up with slow boat shipping so I should get it in 3-4 weeks. They say the third time is the charm…lol…lets hope so!

    Happy New Year!

So my new hub arrived from China today and it is NOT the white port model. It is exactly like the other one I have already.
I am giving up the search for a hub that charges + otg. Rotted… lol

Could you post a short video or a picture of it charging with a pen drive active (flashing) at the same time.
