Another issue when i install flash player, affects youtube that it would not playing smoothly, uninstall will resolve the issue but unable to use where certain websites requires flash player

Hi, some of the X98 Air 3G’s had an issue with the GPU, it would freeze in gaming. Teclast released a fix that lowers the GPU clock a little to fix and avoid this issue on affected units. Try this file below:

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the info, there’s to be minor issues here and there on this X98, but all bearable. I have another issues on the topping my credit for mobile internet, i need to ask anyone who has resolve the “connection error or Invalid MMI code”. Tried some suggested methods don’t seemed to work. This is the first time i encountered this issue

Hi all,

my tablets shut down all of the sudden while watching youtube and previously mention of removing the cover would not help, i felt the the  aluminium case rather hot and came to conclusion that shut down was due to overheating. Now as long as i don’t watch youtube and streaming, it would not overheat. Either the windows os or the hardware unable to dissipate heat generated fast enough. need some advice.

Hi, did you just receive it? Sounds like it could be a bad SoC if it’s overheating just on youtube. I’ve never had issues with mine. Could be a bad heat spreader on the chip or the chip itself as mentioned. If you just got it, get in touch with your seller and explain the issues. You might need a replacment.

Hello Chris,

Below is summery of what i thought of this teclast after one month .

Issues:-

1. Overheating – Some games are OK but graphic intense games will. Watch youtube at 720 & 1080 also affected, strangely 480 and below OK, you are probably right about the bad Soc.

2. Power draining very fast especially Win 8.1 not so on Android.- Probably the nature of W8.1 tend to suck up more juice than android due to the load.

3. Weird on mobile connection, have to power on/off twice for my mobile broadband to work after switching OS- unexplainable despite resetting few times.

4. Connection error & MMI error code- Not an issue for me despite the issue, always can call mobile operator to load the credit for me for the mobile broadband

Chris, despite the flaws, I can live with it and pretty happy , just letting the teclast owners know and inform such issues do arise.  Other than that, no sweat. I don’t bother flashing to other roms, all i do is watching a little bit streaming, reading , occasional games ,news, GPS, Microsoft office for my work mostly, truly ideal, work and entertainment as i am on the move always. HDMI for connecting to larger monitor is the biggest draw for for buying this tablet where no other 9.7″ tablet can have this, i have to thank you for this as previously i have no idea what to buy. Pipo I find is the most disappointed device, dont know why, seems to have endless issues, quality isn’t really there.

No disrespect to Intel , i find  ARM 8 core architecture fare better if the person is more game centric, i gave my son cube tablet 9X, no problems on graphic intense games, like FIFA, real racing and others, Lastly , buying a chinese tablet , don’t expect miracles, expect some flaws and live with it, but have improved greatly over the years as i am have used chinese tablets for 5 years .I don’t think any website is better Techtablets, should anyone wanting a tablet,they should come this website before making the plunge.
