    What charger are you using to charge the tablet? The one it came with? Is it 2A or 2.5A? I mainly use my ipad charger which is 2.1A (mine came with a 2A charger) and it will charge at 50% but its slow no matter what.

    As for using an external screen that will almost definitely increase the usage and let is charge quicker.
