So last few days I was noticing this lag people have been talking about. I’ve mostly been browsing on it and not noticed but I tried to watch some high bitrate movies recently and despite the cpu not getting hot (mid 50c tops) they would start to stutter after a bit.
I had a look in the bios and near the bottom in the advanced section is the thermal menu, they’re a ton of options in here but I noticed under the “skin device” section one thermal value was set very low compared to the others (46c) I upped this to 75 and bang problem gone. Watched an entire movie no problems, long 1080p etc youtube no issues device still stayed at a reasonable temp (mid 60’s c).
September 11, 2015 at 4:15 pm #11302So you finally got the lag to, I didn’t understand it. It would get so slow locked to 800Mhz. Glad you have a fi for other owners. But Onda really messed up with this one, the average Joe should have to adjust setting in the bios to allow the tablet to perform as it should (Ram, thermals etc).

I’m planning to replace the M.2 SSD.
Is there any way to select USB boot device during start up? Otherwise, I wonder how to install Windows to the new SSD drive?
