The same to me. I just download some apps from playstore and I rotate my screen. I have no other solution.

I have no idea, where in the hell AOSP source, android handle device auto-orientation
But this simple setting stuff may help you
Android wrong auto-rotate
reflash a kernel
Or dig in the AOSP kernel source by yourself
This is the most relevant to your problem:
contact Chih-Wei Huang for this issuie in androidx86
or try an app for androidx86 or write an app by yourself
app to fix auto-rotate
Some one figure it out that androidx86 rotate in a bash script, so you find that script file and patch it

I think i found this source code handle sensor input data, try to patch it yourself sensor.cpp

Btw , i have locked the screen and using a screen rotate app but autorotation could be great too.

Also the os crashes in UFC and when viewing images in chrome , otherwise it works great.

Do you have root access?  If so, try this in terminal:

set_property hal.sensors.iio.accel 1
set_property hal.sensors.iio.accel.matrix -1,0,0,0,-1,0,0,0,-1

rmmod i2c_hid
modprobe i2c_hid

If that works, mount system read write and add it to /system/etc/init.sh.
