Hi, I’ve had mine for a week (review coming really soon 1-2 days) And yes it can make not only calls but text, WhatsApp, etc all like a normal phone. The tablet is okay, but a non-laminated screen. 2560 x 1600 lags a bit on the Helio X27 like other tablets using this chipset.

But you get a lot fo the price, good battery life, GPS, phone calls, text, MicroSD and FM radio even.

My recommendation is the Mi Pad 4 with LTE and a custom ROM that lets you make calls and send texts. The stock ROMS don’t which is stupid!
