Hi!
I’ve got recently a problem with my sdcard partition growing beyond 12GB and no matter how many apps I uninstall, files I delete, and clean files, cache, etc, it just won’t stop growing and when remaining space is less than 500MB it start causing issues, rebooting, etc
ES File Explorer shows me a total of 142 files & 141 folders using 15.89MB TOTAL even showing hidden files & folders, but when using SD-CARD-ANALYST (inside the same ES File Explorer), it says the partition is using 12,16GB of 12,67 in total.
As it is now I cannot find files or folders to delete and restore the space –if I theoretically were to delete all the files and folders that are detected, I would be recovering only 15,89MB only which is not even 1% of the space.
I have had a lot of Android tablets and phones in the past, and I was always able to detect ALL files/folders on sdcard and delete the ones that were occupying the most space, but with this tablets that has not been possible. Is it maybe because this tablet use part of the space for Windows 10?
BTW by opening SETTINGS/STORAGE the space is allocated like this:
- AVAILABLE 520MB
- APPS 1.27GB
- PICTURES, VIDEOS 12.59MB
- DOWNLOADS 132kb
- CACHED DATA 2.25MB
- MISC. 2.87MB
Which adds to about 1,3GB being used, so where is the other 11GB used? and why it’s not being detected to be deleted?
Please I need help asap as I’m worried it’sgoing to get bricked soon.
Thanks everyone for any help or input you can give me.
