Just say the real value of the product and send invoice or payment confirmation from aliexpress as proof. Pretend you don’t know why seller declare it as $50.
Not sure about yours, but customs in my country has long since noticed this behavior of understating product values to reduce/avoid custom duties. They have their own reference of how much a tablet costs, so most of the time understating product value simply does not work.
April 25, 2016 at 8:27 pm #35049ok, thnx, i sent a screenshot ( of the transaction on alypay, i dont know if that is ok lel)

April 27, 2016 at 7:44 am #35238Just showing the original buy value and customs is happy. They know the game how everybody tries to under value. You did not declare a fake value, so you are in the clear from a legal point of view. If for instance you told the shipper to undervalue it and customs have proof it is, yea … then you can get a nice extra fine on top ( its called tax evasion / fraud for a reason 😉 ). But that never happens ( especially not for low value items like this ).
If you are shipping a container with 10.000 tablets and declare it ridiculously low, yea … customs have more reason to come after you.
DHL = Almost every freaking ( correction: Every! ) time custom taxes… no change of escaping the taxes with them. Never use them ever for shipping something you do not like to pay taxes on. Most courier companies are like that. You have more chance of escaping with snailmail ( the national postal services that take ages ) or more change they will simply accept the undervalued price.
April 27, 2016 at 2:55 pm #35266now i have a new problem xD
the tablet is blocked in the customs because the seller didnt sent a CE declaration of conformity
i already sent a message to the seller (like 2 minuts ago)
lets see if he answers in the next days or so xDin case he cant send or something, does anyone here know if i can get a refund from aliexpress????
anyway, if i cant get the tablet i will be really mad, because i wanted it to use as a laptop on vacations xD
and there isnt time to order another one, as i will go in 2 weeks or so lol -
