From what I’ve read on these forums and online no MS Office pre-installed however Word, Excel and PowerPoint mobile are all free apps with less features than their full version counterparts.

No. MS Office is not pre-installed. Just like Nemix says, MS Office Mobile is pre-installed on the tablet. You can remove it easily.
