I recieved my teclast x2 pro about a month ago from gearbest.
I changed the SSD to a 256gb Transcend card and did a small heat mod.
In the beginning it worked great, but since two weeks it freezes very often and i have to press the power button until it powers off.
Also when i want to boot the tablet it goes into the EFI-shell all the time.
A fresh installation of windows did not help…
Also the tablet does not boot from USB.
I hope that someone of you can help me.
Thanks
April 11, 2016 at 1:03 pm #33038have you put the ssd into the good place?
Because if you put it in the other connector you will have this prolem.
when you replace the ssd you must re-install win 10, in the forum you have a tuto for this.
Excuse my englishHave fun!
April 16, 2016 at 9:46 am #33744The SSD is in the good place.
I also reinstalled Windows 10 – already a few times.
But also directly after a fresh installation, it crashes.
The dump file says that “ntdll.sys” has a problem (“critical.process.died”)
I have no idea, what to do now…
April 21, 2016 at 11:52 pm #34605what build and os number are present atm on your device?
have also encounted numerous breakdowns, but mostly its just blue screen, stating an error and machine restart.. cant recall the exact error and if it was that exact dll.
but with last buildupdate ‘ not so much (sofare)..
April 22, 2016 at 8:53 am #34628Do you mean the Windows 10 Version?
maybe we have the same problem..
April 22, 2016 at 2:13 pm #34664I had this problem when i installed my 512 gGB SSD into my X2 Pro.
I had placed a thermal pad between the SSD and the tablet which was pushing on the SSD slightly and causing it to lose connection to pins in the slot at times.
I removed the thermal pad and used Kapton Tape instead so the SSD was flat against the tablet and I’ve had no problems since.
Ensure nothing is causing your SSD to short or the pins to not fully connect.
April 30, 2016 at 11:54 pm #35676atm Im on Version 1511
OS-Build 14316.1000
and sofare this insider build seems to work okay, no blue-win10-restart-screens sofare..

May 6, 2016 at 7:27 pm #36291thanks for your help
i figured out that the problem was heat!
i swapped the thermal cooling Pad on the CPU for thermal cooling paste.
I put a thermal pad in again and now it works 🙂

Hey, what size thermal pads did you use? Does it have to be at exact measurements as I can only find like 50mmx50mm thermal pads on eBay…
