PWM noise from backlight

Ok, sorry to open another thread, but I’d like to ask people if they also have issues with high frequency noise when you put the brightness at 0%. (I measured 12kHz with a spectrum analyzer app on my android phone).
If other people don’t have this issue, I think I’ll have to return the tablet. :/

So maybe yet another problem with the Hi12? It seems they really have some quality issues, otherwise this tablet is near perfect.

The problem with this is that the problem only occurs in dark(and mostly silent) environments. For instance when I am watching walking dead in my bed with very low brightness.

My tablet makes noise only à 25% ,  it’s very curious, this is not very disturbing for me ….

When using it in a relative dark enviroment, i like to run mine at 7-9 percent. It makes this noise too. Very annoying.

What is your serial number? And I have to say its a very high frequency noise, so kind of depends on how well your ears still work(my girlfriend hears it, but my father doesn’t)

Your serial number is a lot different, so it’s not a batch problem I think. I am going to try and test the tablet with an external hard drive because I think it is maybe related to power management. I just think it’s strange that the tablets creates noise between about 0% and 25%. If it was pwm noise for brightness control I think we should hear it to at 50% for example.
