Just use the have disc option when installing and point to to the Inf file in the folder, it will give you Intel SD or the SDA, you want the Intel SD driver.
March 19, 2016 at 7:33 pm #30076Hi James, I had set the driver to the SDA driver and saved that as the driver and now the device won’t boot. I wanted to go into the repair mode, and backup the SDA driver and replace it with the SD driver so the device will boot. But I can’t determine the file name of the SDA driver in the drivers directory to effect this repair…. thanks for taking the time to reply.
March 20, 2016 at 1:11 pm #30129Is the BIOS update posted here by Gal (Link ) the same is as this one in the article http://techtablets.com/2016/03/teclast-x98-plus-dual-boot-bios-microsd-fix-1600mhz-ram/ ?
Do both fix the same problem, I am just a little bit confused.

Yes, it’s the same. Echo posted it a week after me. It solves for some people , not all.
For me , prior to my BIOS update, it would not even recognize my 128GB card. Now it does, and it works fast, but the driver randomly fail to start and the card is not seen in file explorer anymore. So the BIOS is better, the driver is the problem now (I think).
Weird is that sometimes removing the card and inserting again makes it work again. Then I thought that maybe it is the card or the reader..so the next time it happened I booted into Android but it worked fine there. So..coming back to the windows driver.

This is getting aggravating. SD was working fine in Android but not Windows. Just rebooted tablet from Android to Android after over a week of working fine – just time for a reboot. Android checks card and says there are errors and do I want to fix – OK, I reply, sure enough it corrupts card and my PC tells me same. Grrr reformat and reload. Going to insert with tablet shut down when it is reloaded and hope for the best but Teclast please fix this !

Neil, did you use that hack at the top of this page before?
March 22, 2016 at 8:54 am #30357It is exactly what I experienced on my A5C6 (single boot bios).
The only solution, at the moment, is to use windows 8.1 drivers. Of course my SDXC UHS-I U3 (80/90 MB/s) is working really slow (10/6 MB/s), but it is stable and doesn’t get corrupted every 2 days.

Nicola, also I have a A5C6. Try to reinstall the original drivers. I did it out of curiosity and my 128 gb SDXC works perfectly and at high speed. NTFS formatted.

Yes, I tried the alternate drivers for Windows with the resulting slow speed so went back to the default driver. I have done the BIOS update and got he yellow exclamation in devices so do not have any SD card in Windows but previously it was OK up to 32GB. I seldom use Windows anyway so hoping and waiting for a fix and just using Android. Now the SD is also playing strange in Android. After reformatting and putting my files back on the card after my last issue (SD card damaged after reboot) I inserted the card with the tablet totally shut down and when Android booted it once again reported that the card was damaged and offered to fix (not). I physically ejected the card and reinserted with Android still running – nothing to lose. Strangely, one would think that is not a good thing to do, but the card was recognized without any complaints and files are accessible. This goes against any good procedure I have from experience but at least it worked. I am thinking now, when I reboot I will do a shut down and remove the card, then insert the card “hot” when Android is running.
March 22, 2016 at 5:42 pm #30422I also did it twice but each time, after few days, the SDXC got corrupted. Now it works like a charm (except it is really slow)
March 24, 2016 at 5:36 pm #30751Just a warning about the non signed driver installation to get any memory card to be recognized in Windows. If your reboot from Android using any of the boot to Windows options. the memory card completely dissappears again, or it has a code 10 error. I have tried tried re-installing the non signed drivers but once its done, theres no way back so to speak, you would either have to find a memory card that is compatible, or re-install Windows, not good really.
March 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm #30823I have this Threat always viewed from afar and happy that my SD card worked fine.
Since yesterday I have now exactly the same problem. How can that be, three weeks all works good and then not ???
I spent most of the night to find a solution, with no success
With the Driver from the top of this page I can make the SD up briefly. When I access it, it disappears.Same with 3 other cards…
In Android, it works fine!
@ Teclast: fixes this driver finally, the unit began to annoy me. Until a fix the Tablet cant be recommandet. Is there any help from the community???

Exactly what happens to me, unless you can get a genuine compatible card then the SD slot is useless in Windows basically, theres not an actual link in this thread to an exact make and model of a micro sd card that will work, i need at least a 64 GB card.
March 25, 2016 at 5:19 pm #30854Well, Come on Teclast do something NOW

My card is a Samsung 64GB SDXC and I am having problems like most of us, so brand is not a guaranty…
Not exactly, it depends where you bought your Samsung Micro SD from…there are many fakes on eBay and other online retailers from China.
After reading through this whole thread twice, seems like genuine Samsung EVO’s and genuine SanDisk Ultra’s up to 128GB work fine with the new BIOS update on AC58 models.
Genuine Kingston and some other brand cards seems to be fine up to 64GB, again with the latest BIOS update and on AC58 models.
