Guys, one question, once you formatted the mSD card as exFAT, and then slot it into the tablet, and use the tablet erase the card, is the file system of the card stay as exFAT or is it changed to FAT32?
On my case it always change from exFAT becoming FAT32 when I use the tablet to erase the card.

March 14, 2016 at 4:28 am #29272I have problem with SanDisk 200 GB mSD I bought from Amazon. I’ve updated X98 Plus BIOS, and the SanDisk 200 GB mSD (FAT32 formatted) works fine on Android, but frequently not accessible in Windows 10. Using Samsung EVO 128 GB is ok on both Android and Windows. Only the 200 GB mSD is problematic on Windows.
In Windows the 200 GB mSD usually shown in explorer without any issue, I can open the folders, but when starting to open files, pictures for example, then it sometime hang, and error, the drive is not found, like the mSD is unmounted. But sometime I manage to open files, but seldom. More often the mSD hang and no accessible. The 200 GB mSD was formatted by the Android OS of the X98 Plus, and works fine on Android.
Now I’m using 128 GB Samsung EVO since the SanDisk is practically not usable.

Can you check if you have Error Code 10 in your Device Manager when it happens?
I have the Sandisk 128GB and it works sometimes and then it hangs and disappears.March 14, 2016 at 12:52 pm #29331Can you check if you have Error Code 10 in your Device Manager when it happens? I didn’t notice Error Code 10. Attached is one of the error when i was trying to launch portable app platform from the mSD (always fail on 200 GB, but no problem on 128 GB)

A screenshot of device manager would be more helpful if possible (next time it happens).

March 14, 2016 at 4:40 pm #29366My situation is… (I have A5C8
Initially I had problems with a 16GB card from Samsung. I made the BIOS update according to specified here. I have now Windows 10, updated and original ROM on Android. The 16GB worked on both Systems. Meanwhile, I bought a 64GB card, brand Integral and it works fine also on both systems. Even switching from Android to Windows and vice-versa.
So, maybe now the problems are related to capacities bigger than 64GB.

March 14, 2016 at 6:10 pm #29379spzjulien… could some of the problems be related to the changes made by the Root process? I never tried a Root on an Android device, but I read lots of articles about that and almost all alerts that it could cause problems. On the Windows matter, I have made several installs and reinstalls on some of different previous versions (before 8) and I came from MS-DOS… :-)))). On this, I don’t remember of any hardware problems.
Now, on a dual device, I guess problems could double if one changes the original software. Usually, specific software are made for specific hardware and compatibility with other devices/software are not always assured.

i did try everything and of course tried official android rom, same a…nd on teclast forum, is crowded with tons of user and same problem with sdcard, and they dont use my rom, believe me no custom rom related 🙂
and keep in mind that using android custom rom Cant affect sdcard behavior under win10 …teclast even open official threat to collect user sdcard bugs exeprience, since those teclast patch fail
teclast seem well aware of the problem but fail to fix it up to now[Discuss and exchange] [important] X98 Plus / X80 Plus TF card collection surveys to identify compatibility issues
http://bbs.teclast.com/thread-553750-1-1.html
edit : and the x80 plus tablet, similar to x98 plus version have similar sdcard issue …
March 15, 2016 at 6:04 am #29450Something I tried which I thought was rather weird was to insert the SD card into the teclast then perform an erase on the card. Afterwards the 64GB card mounted and could be seen by the Android operating system.

I’m using SPZJulien custom ROM, on my case, so far the issue is more on the mSD card, particularly SanDisk. Now using Samsung EVO 128 GB, no issue so far on both Android and Windows.
