New to TechTablets, but a fan of cheap Chinese Android tabs.
The kids iFive X3 still going strong after 3 years (although the micro USB is slowly giving in)
Unfortunately wifes Teclast X80 has died after 1.5 years (not charging), so need an 8″ replacement
Currently deported to China, so only advantage is direct sourcing from Taobao/Tmall
Bestseller in 8″ category seems to be
Teclast / Taipower Kindow X89 (okay, 7.5″ strictly speaking)
Onda / Onda Plus V8
CUBE iwork8 Ultimate
Teclast / Taipower Plus of X80
Don’t really have any preferences, but the Onda V8 plus seems to have the biggest battery…
I have no illusions that any of the tabs will ever receive an Android update, but since it’s only used for entertainment I can live with that
Would appreciate any comments on the above
