about how most of these overheat like the telclast x98 pro. Should I wait for the next model or buy the intel m ones? If not the intel m models which cpu models should i be looking for? Is there custom fees in purchasing from China ship to the US?

Read reviews, reviews, and reviews. While these tablets come with 1 year guarantee, I doubt a lot actually claim it because of the fees and time for shipping the tablet back and forth, and possibly even extra custom fees. Hence build quality should be number one priority, since firmware issues can usually be fixed with patches and programs after purchase. Only after you are certain with a tablet that you buy it.

For brand recommendations, I’ll just quote what Chris wrote (http://techtablets.com/recommended-chinese-tablets-brands/):

    1. Cube
    2. Teclast
    3. Chuwi

For model recommendation, just pick ones that fit your needs and budget. Current CPU models are Cherry Trails (Z8300, Z8500, Z8700) and core M. IMO core M is more powerful but more expensive. Slightly more powerful version of Cherry Trails (Z8350, Z8550, Z8750) is probably gonna be on the market in the next 3-4 months.

I’m not US citizen but IIRC I read somewhere that items over $100 is subject to custom fees.
