I have a generic dual-boot tablet running Windows 10 Home 64-bit and Android 5.1.1. It has the following specs:
10.1-inch IPS LCD @ 1280 x 800 pixels, 149ppi
1.44GHz Intel Z8300 quad-core processor
Intel HD Graphics
2GB RAM
32GB internal storage
Expandable via microSD, up to 64GB
2-megapixel rear camera
2-megapixel front camera
Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n
Bluetooth 4.0
6600mAh non-removable battery
As you can see, it’s not the best of tablets when it comes to the specs. With that said, Windows 10 Home 64-bit takes up too much space and resources for this specs and internal space so I want to replace it with Windows 10 Home 32-bit one to minimize the footprint. What I want to know is how to do this without messing up the Android side. It has a software that allows me to switch to the Android side and it’s the only way to get to that side. I’m worried that if I do a fresh installation of the 32-bit version, it will remove that software too. For reference, I tried doing the “Reset this PC” feature on Windows and the software stayed untouched even though every other app I installed got deleted and uninstalled. Does that mean it’s safe to go ahead?
This is what it looks like so if people can identify a similar rebranded tablet with better support (like with firmwares, etc) that would be great.
