That would br great!
January 11, 2016 at 10:18 am #21884Tried to run it this morning, though it boots fine on my laptop, not been able to get it to boot on the pro, will keep playing..
January 11, 2016 at 10:59 am #21886currently leaked image needs legacy boot, x98 pro supports only uefi boot. tomorrow they might release also uefi image
January 11, 2016 at 1:45 pm #21896That’ll be why it wasn’t booting then 🙂
January 11, 2016 at 8:38 pm #21940Can i replace my current Android with Remix os? Or is it mentioned to replace Windows 10? I wanna keep my Windows, but Android is kinda useless, so it can be removed if needed.
January 12, 2016 at 1:20 pm #22035The current version runs from usb, so at the moment there is no way to install it and replace the os, though at the moment there is no way to boot it on our tablets as the official release still only supports legacy boot from what I can see..
January 13, 2016 at 6:43 am #22172A guy over at reddit created a EFI image. Anyone willing to try?
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2cSlWc2yl7ET3ZkRGNqVzJLdjA/view?usp=sharing
Created from the last official image that included Gapps. This is an EFI only system. Extract the contents of the REMIXDRIVE folder to a FAT32 formatted drive. Then select the drive at boot. Uses a 4GB data.img for persistence.
If you so choose you can copy the AndroidOS folder to a regular partition and use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824154 to create a bigger data.img. Then whenever you want to boot Remix you can just put in the flash drive and it will automatically find the AndroidOS folder on the root of an existing partition.
EDIT: This works on both 32bit EFI only systems like the Asus T100 or any EFI system that’s 64bit.
January 13, 2016 at 9:47 am #22191Just tried it, cannot get it work. I made usb stick with those files, booted tablet up and hit F7, then i select my usb drive, then it shows me 2 boot options, Android x86 or Windows, if i select Windows, it boots normally to Windows, and if i choose Android, it try to boot somewhere, screen is black but powered. Nothing happened. Any ideas???
January 13, 2016 at 10:30 am #22195Is the usb drive formated as FAT 32?
January 13, 2016 at 11:00 am #22198Yep. When i choose Android x86, then i see screen where it is detecting Android X86 something, and it founds it, then screen goes black. And i waited over 10 minutes, but nothing happened.
I also tried orginal files from jide.com website, and make usb stick with included tool, but when i try to boot from usb, screen is totally mess.
January 14, 2016 at 10:46 am #22303Looks like driver problem, i just read that reddit conversation and somebody have a same problem what i have.

Linux display driver issue on Surface 3. Looks to be partially fixed, but until Jide updates kernel with a working patch, you’re SOL

Dam thats too bad, I feel tempted to give it a shot on my X16 pro. Also I have access to a USB DVD drive maybe using one of those might magically help somehow?
