Me too. It is a good idea.
September 11, 2016 at 8:26 am #49437It’s working for x98 plus, why not for plus 2 ?! be patient, I am sure we could use it soon.
September 11, 2016 at 4:59 pm #49468May be somebody could explain me – is it will work Remix OS on this tablet???
December 23, 2016 at 4:21 am #59123You can flash Remix 2 for the x98 plus 0n the Plus 2 (c2d4) with Intel Flash Tool and it mostly works. Also mostly works on the c2e3 and I’d guess the other versions of the Plus 2 as well. I havent gotten internal sound working reliably or very loud and screen dim has range issues. I also flashed Remix 2 for the x16 on the Plus 2 by swapping it’s system.img into the x98 plus and it worked mostly too. Again no internal sound, but camera, auto rotate, touchscreen, wifi, and bt work. I’m still experimenting but I don’t really know what I’m doing, lol. Not worried about bricking it so I’m going to keep playing with it. I’d really love to see the pc version 3 running on this as well, but this gives me something to do and the tablet feels better with Remix vs the stock shipped andriod version imo. If anybody gets it working 100% I’m sure we’ll find out here or at xda.

How can i flash Remix OS on X98 Plus II?
i enabled usb debugging mode, i started intel platform flash tool, selected “flash.json”, then i tried with update mode, but nothing..
June 8, 2017 at 8:46 am #67937If you want to try Remix 3.0 on the tablet, you can install it on a Usb stick and boot from it. Then you can check if everything is working as expected
June 12, 2017 at 2:40 pm #68105After i tried it, i can install by pen drive?
Which version must i choose to install on a pendrive?
thanks
March 15, 2018 at 6:44 pm #140633I just copied and pasted the following what Jason posted in another thread how to flash Remix OS, credit to him.
I could install RemixOS 2.0 on my C2D4 x98 Plus II / 2.
- Download the official RemixOS for Plus I/1: http://www.jide.com/remixos/devices/teclastx98plus
- Download the Android 5.1 stock for Plus II/2. Two choices:
- Baidu in Chinese: http://www.teclast.com/tools/pad/pad.php?t=p, you cannot find the link in the Teclast English version website.) The name is: X98 Plus II (C2D4)-双系统-Android5.1-V1.05版固件.rar
- Copy the boot.img from the Android5.1 stock and copy/replace into the RemixOS for Plus I/1.
- Use Intel Flash tool in “Recovery” mode (not Update).
- Power with + and – volume pushed, wait DNX Bootmode.
- When done, reboot or wait or… after one or two reboots you’ll see the RemixOS logo.
Doesn’t work:
- Brightness: it’s working but the threshold is too small, for full scale on RemixOS it’s like from 45% to 55% in stock Android.
- Auto-rotate, I don’t know why, we stay in horizontal mode.
I didn’t try other things, Wifi is working tho, Google Apps too (I could install apps that stock Android rejected me)
Hope someone will fix problems.
Bye!
