11000mah is enough but my battery has a problem and autonomy is less suitable...

Hi, the Hi12 is relatively easy to open: 4 little torx screws and a (old) credit card or something equal to disassemle the back-cover from the snaping-plastic holders.

Inside there are two 3.7v lipos. parallel together for 3.7v and round about 11000mAh. The battery is soldered to the mainboard with to wires (+ and -). the lipos are glued to back of the screen. hot air from an air gun will help.

The lipos are very thin. i would think round about 4mm. so your choice seams to be right.

    Good luck!

Yes, but how much capacity can you add? In my opinion, this is only worth while if you can upgrade from 11000mah to at least 14000mah.

That’s true, but if your battery is dead – you may want to change it.

    @ciaoman

In my experience, the larger capacity 3rd party express or similar batteries have NEVER lived up to their spec. I did an upgrade on the X98 Air 3G and it was worse even if it was a 2000 or 3000 larger LG branded (Or some they claimed) battery.

It’s not worth it. You should be able to get at least 7 hours 50% brightness web use on this tablet. If not you must have something hogging the tablet CPU. Or are you gaming at 100% brightness, that will kill the battery in about 3-4 hours if non-stop gaming.

I do not play video games, I have 7h autonomy by enabling brightness to 25% and activating the save mode.
my tablet is stuck in a format on windows for 2 hours and it was burning Verily when I put out, from my battery s capacity are worse.
there are a few days in trying to load, 5h after connecting, the LED indicating the battery charge began to blink rapidly … it’s a default. my tablet had charged 20% while it was turn off…

I expect the final death of my battery and I command a new one…

sorry for my poor english language.

Bevore ordering a new battery i would desolder the old one and put it to an external lipo charger. with the charger you can measure the true capacity of the lipo. i had a similar problem. my lipo of the hi12 was discharged to 3.1v (bad). the hi12 only wanted to charge it with 450mA. but the lipo of the hi12 survived. the charger measured a capacity of round about 9500mAh.

I have a problem with my battery too. mine dropped till 1.496 mah. What about yours? you can check it by installing battery bar on windows.

In oreder to replace that, I asked gearbest and they told me I will receive soon for free a new battery that they will get from chuwi.
I asked them if they are going to list the original battery on their website and they answered no.
If you bought it from them, please ask for replacement.
If not I have a contact on aliexpress, professional seller, that for 25 usd including shipping can produce a cusotmized battey for you that can fit inside the hi12, but withj a capacity of 13.000 mah.

if you need the contact, please send me a pm.

About the aliexpress battery you posted, it could technically work properly, but it is 0.7 mm thicker than the original… I don’t know if you can close the tablet after installing that. You can try to open the tablet, insert some blank sheet thick about one mm and test if it can be closed… if you do that, please report here!

well… open the tablet is really easy and not dangerous at all… you just need a torx screwdriver and an old credit card!

you can still cancel your order from aliexpress if you realize that with my tip the battery would be too thick, and buy a proper one from my seller…

keep all of us updated here, man!

How are you? Did you receive a replacement battery for Chuwi Hi12 from GearBeast?
The other day, I had the same situation but GearBest support offered me only compensation but not the replacement of the
    defective battery ?
Could you be so kind as to share a contact of the seller on Aliexpress that can produce a customized battery for the hi12 but with a capacity of 13.000 mah?
