Replacing Windows 10 with Linux

Hi,

I want to replace Windows with Arch Linux on this tablet. I have managed to boot the tablet to Arch by flashing both my USB and SD card with Arch, because you can boot using USB, however in one stage of booting the USB port is off because the bootloader doesn’t support OTG, so it continues loading via the SD card.

When I booted up my USB devices were working and I tried the lsblk command to list all the partitions and as you can see in the picture mmcblk0 is it’s internal memory. It says it has 58.2 GB, however the largest partition is 4 GB, so I’m wondering what can I do to make Arch see the Windows partition that I would like to erase?

Furthermore, someone suggested that if I renamed the EFI file made by the Linux installation, to be the same as the Windows’, I would be able to boot to Linux using the same Windows button I get on startup now. Is this plausible? Where would the file have to be and what would it’s name have to be?

I tried Ubuntu (Archlinux seems having the same isntallation procedure) with the instructions in this link but got stuck in the Ubuntu splash screen. If you succeed let me know. Best of luck.

I have tried several distros (Arch/Antergos/Manjaro, Mint, Ubuntu/Xubuntu, debian, fedora, and others) and my best results were with Mint and Ubuntu 16.04. You need to use the latest kernel to have access to some hardware patches.

Either way, touch will not work, it will be the same as if you have windows 10 without the touchsetting.gt file, it will be mirrored; wifi, bluetooth and sound will also not work. I tried an usb ethernet adapter and network worked fine, but no wifi drivers… :/
