I’ve just reflashed my whole x98 air 3g and I downloaded the UpdateIFWI.apk linked in this thread . I also grabbed a x98air3gduala.bin from the download section.

The issue being, nothing seems to happen. It’s been on “Upgrading, this may take a few minutes” for about an hour or so? What might I do wrong? It’s not frozen or anything. It just wont complete..

    I’m on a Teclast x98 air 3G c9j7 and I’m on “X98 Air 3G 4.4.4(C9Jx) Mirek190″.

    Regards.

    Frederick,

    Try this tutorial.

It includes a BIOS flasher script that pushes the latest IFWI to the target tablet and runs the flash commands via adb from a connected host PC.

The script creates a detailed log, so if it doesn’t work for some reason, you can post your log

It seems I might have bricked my device somehow. It wont start at all now.

I accidentally clicked the 64bit windows installation and it gave me windows blue screen with “ACPI_BIOS_ERROR”, and it wont even start now..

Is it possibly something else or am I screwed?

Even though the X98 has a 64 bit processor, the EFI BIOS on the device is only 32 bit and for some unknown reason even attempting to install 64 bit Windows on the device corrupts the EFI BIOS and bricks the tablet. Check your other post about bricking your tablet
