Let us know what you do and the result. I had a similar issue where Win10 did an update and then got stuck, rebooted and it tried to roll back and I ended up with no Windows. But uncertain as it does not go to the dual boot screen if I need to reload the Telcast firmware. Reading the post on here it seems the issue might have been using the Micro SD card as transfer drive as there was not enough memory to do an update on internal storage. I’ve ordered a 3 OTG powered adapter and will try loading Windows onto the old partition when it arrives, if this does not work I will try the Telcast 16Gb OS files.
To be honest after thinking about it and using the tablet a few hours whilst it was updating I kind of think I would be better off having Win only tablet as the only benefit of Android is some software I already own which I can get for Windows anyway. The extra memory for windows would be more beneficial than Android. I don’t think I can make a A5C8 single boot. Would be nice if it could set the partition sizes differently, 16GB Android / 48Gb Windows would suit me better.
February 22, 2016 at 4:11 am #26674I got stuck at 55% before and manually reboot it. It restarted the reset sequence itself, this time it did complete (just have to wait 4-5 hours).
What do you see?
February 22, 2016 at 12:23 pm #26723Hi, I will have the Dual Boot tomorrow and I’m preparing everything for it!
I don’t understand if it’s safe to perform the W10 update and if I need a SD to do it due to not enough space…
SD cause the “reset” problem or also the update probelms.
There is a step by step guide?
THX

February 24, 2016 at 5:01 pm #26945Ok i got it woking for my preference. Booted up gparted and deleted windows partition and reallocated the space to android. Happy with the results. works great now.
February 24, 2016 at 6:11 pm #26957@purple panda, can you list the steps needed to remove the windows partition completely? I’m new to this, do you create a boot stick with gparted and how do you do that?
February 25, 2016 at 4:13 am #26995Acquire a PartedMagic .iso legit or otherwise and then flash the image to your USB key. Rufus is a great app for flashing the .iso and making it a bootable USB.
February 25, 2016 at 5:06 am #269991- Need
-powered usb adapter, keyboard and mouse
-gparted iso from their website
– universal usb installer or rufus
2- use universal usb installer/rufus to create a bootable flash drive using the gparted iso
3-Plug otg adapter into tablet with it power off then plug the usb hub with flash drive keyboard and mouse into the otg adapter
4- power on and on the first teclast image hold down power and up to bring up bios menu
5-turn fast boot on and enable all options under what drops down
6- Boot to the usb drive you have plugged in
7- Now when in gparted find the largest partition its like 38 gigs or something, then merge the unallocated space from that with the android 20gig partition.
8- remember to apply changes
9-Power off in gparted os when complete and your done.
