You have to declare it to contain hazardous materials when you ship it, they may charge extra
April 7, 2016 at 8:42 am #32371Yes, there is the posibility to ship it via DHL Express, but this would be about 150€. Normal parcel service will not transport hazardous material.
Or do you have different experience? On different forums users having the same issue, sometimes it got shipped, sometimes not.
Anyone here who recently returned a tablet from germany to china without express service?

Yes, sounds about right. I can’t use Correos (Spanish post) And have to use TNT or DHL. It has to go as a dangerous good due to the battery. I was going to return my bricked Cube i9 for a reflash, but it was going to cost around 100 euros to send plus around 30 more of the DG cert and all the other surcharges. But they wanted the battery cert and spec sheet etc, something I don’t have.
Too much hassle and waaaaay to expensive! Lucky for me I was able to flash it back to life!

Ordered and waiting for my: BMAX S15 & Teclast F6 Plus
Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30April 10, 2016 at 8:21 pm #32965Yes there seems to be new regulations with transporting DG 🙁
Unfortunately I think mine has a HW defect (“dead” pixel lines) -so i think no good chance to repair it.
I already asked geekbuying how to proceed, but no anser till now.
I’m thinking of opening a paypal dispute and sending the tablet again to china with normal service ( ~10€). But I’m not sure if PP will pay if the tabet does not arrive in china.
May 3, 2016 at 3:54 am #35874I am interested in this topic. My iwork8 died after 2 weeks, well the screen died (works on external monitor), and since I bought it because it was mobile, to me this tablet is as good as dead.
What are our options if we can’t send it back to China? Will paypal entertain a claim 2 weeks after? Has anyone managed to get a refund (at what % should I ask for) without sending tablet back?
May 12, 2016 at 4:25 pm #36995Here’s an update of my case.
I told geekbuying that it’s not possible to return the tablet to china. They gave me an address in Spain.
I sent it to spain without problems (max. size letter with tracking ~19 €). When GB received it, they gave me refund for the 19€ and would send me a new one from china. Unfortunately, the X98 Plus is sold out (in CN warehouse) so i had the options to get a Plus 3G for 20$ surcharge or get one from Spain for 17$ surcharge. I took the 3G which will be sent to me soon – I hope.

I talked to my local carrier and basically the only way I can send the tablet back is by taking out the battery or use other carriers like dhl which costs so much ($60 for a $100+ tablet…). May just give up and stop buying these tablets, which is a pity cos I wanted a core M model eventually.
–update-
i got tired of all the back and forth (they kept insisting I find a cheap way to mail it back but there isn’t any such thing lol) so I asked for a partial refund. While not ideal, $30 back is decent enough.

Just curious: did you get a partial refund?
With this mess of battery shipping, the chinese reseller will have to change their policy on purchase warranty, somehow….
November 27, 2016 at 4:42 pm #57599I have a similar problem with gearbest . is there any other way to get it back to China ?
