@Huy, please check Device Manager for any other unknonwn devices you probably have others too. Check your screen dims from the battery tray icon and also see if the cameras work.
What drivers did you install and how?
Were there any errors?
May 31, 2016 at 11:49 pm #39410I first installed Windows 8, and all it’s drivers. I didn’t check if the screen rotation works. I then used Double Driver to backup all the drivers. Then I upgraded to Windows 10, and restored all the drivers. I then realised that the screen rotation doesn’t work. I think I’m missing a driver or two for the sensor. I have the BMA2x2 and Capella Micro sensor. I’m very sure that there was a third one.
May 31, 2016 at 11:50 pm #39411There were no errors. I looked through the Windows 10 drivers on this website, but I couldn’t find the driver files for the third sensor.
June 1, 2016 at 3:27 am #39428For the moment all I can suggest is creating a restore point then trying to install from my driver backup here (use Double Driver and install everything, there are interdependencies). I don’t think we have the same hardware configuration but all the SoC stuff will be the same; the Bosch sensor has a generic driver and I2C channel/address differences should be taken care of in the ACPI tables (with any luck). Audio, wireless and cameras might be wrong but if it doesn’t work out then just roll back the restore point.
I don’t think the Vi10 comes equiped with the Capella ALS sensor any longer even though the BIOS lists it, could be wrong.
June 1, 2016 at 5:23 am #39434I’ll give it a shot. I definitely know it can rotate the screen.
June 1, 2016 at 7:08 am #39445Still doesn’t work. Probably the drivers aren’t supported on Windows 10. I definitely know the Vi10 can rotate the screen, because it does it on Android.
June 1, 2016 at 12:10 pm #39476I know exactly which driver controls the rotation. It’s the BMA2x2(…) Accelerometer. But for some reason it doesn’t seem to fix the problem even though apparently it’s ‘working fine’.
June 1, 2016 at 1:13 pm #39477There’s a newer driver that Windows will download if it found an issue with the old one, but the newer one doesn’t work with the Vi10.
I use the 12.35.45.875 BMA2x2 driver dated 18/07/2014 on my Vi10 Pro (221511). I remember needing to reboot after installing the driver.
June 2, 2016 at 8:10 am #39574Wow, this is weird. I deleted all the sensor drivers. Then I used the driver backup I had from Windows 8 and restored all of the sensor drivers. Somehow restoring the first time it didn’t work. But after deleting the sensor drivers a second time and restoring it worked. I have no idea how it fixed itself…
June 2, 2016 at 8:12 am #39576Jono’s driver doesn’t work, but restoring my drivers twice after deleting them each time works…Wtf?
