I own this tablet for few days already. I bought it on TaoBao directly from CUBE shop.
Performance wise, I think it is just okay. I am constantly using it for chrome, but definitely you can see it sometime will slow down. Having 4G of RAM definitely helps the performance of memory hungry chrome. Office will work without problem, but free 1 year Office 360 is not included (it is included in iWork8 last year). I haven’t try to do programming on the tablet, since the screen is so small, so I prefer to do programming on my computer.
Never tried Chuwi, but I do like the full sized port. I bought this because I want to use the dual boot version. Windows 10 is not friendly at all for touch user. You might prefer to use Android if you want to use it as tablet mode.
The windows partition size is 41.6GB, with free space after installing necessary apps such as office and updating it is around 19.7GB. Probably just because I install few more apps that I use such as codec pack, firefox and chrome, torrent, and one or two small games from Windows store to try the gaming performance.
I have few problem that I personally find:
- SD Card Reader has bug. On android it frequently disconnected randomly and reconnected again. On Windows, most of the time it just don’t work at all. You must use old Class 4 card. I bought Samsung 64GB EVO+ and it only worked for first day. I changed to cheap 8GB class 4 memory card, and it works without problem.
- USB 3.0 most of the time will not work. You can use USB 2.0 without problem though. USB Harddisk will not work at all (you can use USB Y cable, with power from external source).
- Android performance is not really up to my standard. The android is fine, but any 3rd party apps performance is quite slow. My old Note 8 is faster.
- It drains battery too much when sleeping. Both in Windows and Android. Around 1-5% per hour. Even worse in Windows.
- WiFi is not stable. The infamous Realtek SDIO Wireless chip is installed. The speed is around 1MB-3MB, and it constantly drop even I am next to the router. If you use it as web browsing only, there is no problem.
- There is no stylus support that I know of. They do provide some cheap looking pen that mimic touch that not even work at all time. There is also no palm rejection.
Probably even more, since I only use this tablet for few days.
However, I still believe this is probably the best for 900RMB+ class tablet out there. The aluminum body is very nice and good quality. Screen is okay and very high resolution. Chuwi is nice, but it is plastic body, which I don’t really like.
I bought keyboard dock for additional 300RMB, which is quite expensive, considering the tablet itself is 980RMB. I haven’t receive the keyboard yet, they just sent me the tablet.

For me it’s between the Cube iWork 10 Ultimate and the Teclast TBook 11 (which is not out yet), price difference between the not that big of deal however there seems to be problems with USB 3.0 and micro SD cards on the Cube so far…
Cube iWork 10 Ultimate:
10.1″ 1920×1200 (16:10), X5-Z8300, 4GB, 64GB, USB 3.0,Windows 10 and Android.
Bad speakers (placement and sound quality), micro USB 3.0 has power issues, micro SD reading issues.
Teclast TBook 11:
10.6″ 1920×1080 (16:9), X5-Z8300, 4GB, 64GB,Windows 10 and Android.
16:9 ratio screen not ideal for tablets (Samsung IPS though), no USB 3.0, speaker placement better (unknown quality), only weighs 30 grams more than iWork 10 Ultimate, color looks better IMHO, keyboard dock is all plastic, called a Flagship tablet so hopefully the tablet has great build quality.
Reviews seems to favor the iWork 10 Ultimate very marginally probably because of the price and USB 3.0 but to me seems it seems the TBook 11 will be a very high quality tablet if you don’t mind the 16:9 ratio screen, slightly higher price and no USB 3.0.

March 13, 2016 at 11:30 am #29146i wouldn’t go with the tbook11. i would instead go for the x16pro if you don’t want to get the cube
March 14, 2016 at 9:41 pm #29410Is this one better than the Chuwi HI10? i have to admit i like the products Chuwi make, they look like they were well built.
I highly recommend that you stay away from Chuwi, they produce CRAP that doesn’t work properly. Take a look at the Chuwi Hi10 and Hi8 Pro subforums and count the number of posts about problems, then you’ll see what I mean (I myself was forced to return a Hi10 and a Hi8 Pro back to China because of serious issues that can’t be fixed). Then take a look at this Cube iWork10 Ultimate subforum and count the number of problem posts in there.
I haven’t had a single issue yet with my Cube iWork10 Ultimate tablet, and the build quality is definitely a whole lot better than Chuwi (Cube’s engineers seem to know what they’re doing and know how to build properly working tablets, that’s something that I cannot say about Chuwi).
I cannot comment on the Teclast Tbook 11 because I don’t own it, but Teclast’s reputation is also better than Chuwi so it might be worth checking out.I think that the number of these problems posts will immediately reveal what you need to buy and what you need to avoid at all costs…
March 21, 2016 at 6:50 pm #30282Just to add my previous review since I got my keyboard dock.
- The keyboard dock body quality is the same with the tablet itself.
- It is heavier than what I expected, probably to hold the heavy tablet weight. I start to think why they just don’t put the battery pack to make it heavier, since the battery life of the tablet is not what I expected.
- The keyboard itself is okay, better than most cheap bluetooth keyboard. But some keys are smaller, such as backspace. After few days of usage, my mistake when using this smaller keyboard is so much lower than I first receive it.
- The space key is so loud, other keys are fine.
- The touch pad is okay, but so many useless gesture that I don’t know how to disable such as swipe from top to bottom to show desktop.
- The touch pad is wobble. Touch is also quite noisy. It is quite hard to scroll using the touch pad since scroll using right most part of the touch pad doesn’t work, you must use two finger to scroll.
- The hinge is tight at the first use, I suspect it will get better after few weeks of usage. I only use this tablet on bed and when outside, so not really often.
- Seems the dock taking few more percentage of my battery life, since it has usb 2.0 hub inside the dock. It is quite noticeable how the percentage go down faster when using the dock. I will observe most of it next time.
- If you use tempered glass, it will cause extra 1mm gap for the glass. Nothing matter in particular.
- Rubber finish on the keyboard dock sure is nice, but most likely more prone to scratches. I plan to buy a very simple bag to put on the backpack rather than just throw it randomly.
- The dock is not cheap. However, I personally think it is quite worth it, especially when you type a lot, like typing this post.
- You can power USB Harddisk by using the port on the dock. It is not possible using the USB 3.0 OTG or USB 2.0 OTG on the tablet without the USB Y (with power split) cable.
- When the tablet is attached to the magnet, it is quite stable. I even try to shake it to make it fall, but I think it is attached quite strong.
- The tablet can be opened at not what I expected angle. I wish I can open it more to make it easier to use on low table.
