The slowness with running Chrome is a Windows 10 issue and not necessarily a tablet issue. A web search shows that it is not tablet specific. The fix that worked for me:
Disable hardware acceleration under Chrome settings.
Run the Windows Program compatibility troubleshooter. Control Panel> System Security submenu: Find and fix problems>Programs: run programs made for previous versions of Windows> Next> Google Chrome>Next. Then test and save settings.
Updating the driver will help with other issues, but not the Chrome issue. Use my steps above to solve the Chrome issue. It made my Hi10 much faster in Chrome. If you still want to update the display driver, try downloading the suggested driver directly instead of using the utility. You can also try updating via windows updates. Here are other methods:
You can also try running the compatibility troubleshooter for the Intel Driver Update Utility. Do step 2 in my post above, but select the Intel Utility instead of Chrome.
Please let me know if any of the above methods work to update the display driver and if doing so helps performance so that I can update my solutions post.
