Small laminated tablet

Hi,

I’m looking for a tablet but can’t figure out which one best matches my wishes, which are:

* 7 inch (8 inch is also ok) laminated display, minimum 1080p resolution
* Intel (or other x86) CPU
* 4 GB RAM
* HDMI output
* Ability to use a USB device while charging
* Good build quality
* Minimum 64 GB storage (or less with microSD)
* Windows OS with the ability to run Linux

I recognize I can’t have it all, but which one is closest? The only real requirement is a laminated display, with 4 GB RAM being second but not an absolute requirement.

I didn’t see many 7-8 inch tablets with dual boot, 4GB ram and the resolution you are looking for. For this size of tablet you will have an issue with the battery. I believe Jumper was with this configuration on eBay and Aliexpress although maybe 720p resolution and standard USB.

If you want all these figures you list you may need to go for a 9-10 inch tablet. More choice and quality – e.g. Teclast.

Impressive but AFAIK max 2gb RAM. OP looking for 4gb. And Mi Pad is Android only unless you are prepared to tinker with it.

I’ve seen these in 4gb configuration but they seem to be sold out anyways.

You wont get 4gb sadly. Full laminated and windows Mi Pad 2 – Windows version also has 64gb storage, great screen, usb-c and a pretty decent chipset. Only downside is no microsd. No idea if it can run Linux. Perhaps you could just run a virtual machine, like hackers do on phones?

Of course you can get 4gb if you go for a mainstream brand. Something like HP 8 inch tablets have high ram. But they are pretty pricey.
