I’ve got an M5F8 too. Don’t know about making the physical Windows button (you mean on the keyboard?) work under Android or how to reduce the number of home screens (you mean sliding left/right on the main home screen?). But I did respond to your OTA update thread. Hope it helped.
By physical Windows button, I mean the Windows logo on the right of the screen. Sort of like the home button on other devices, except it doesn’t work on Android. Thanks for suggesting the keyboard though, gave me an idea to try it out when the black screen happens.
Yes I mean the extra home screens you get sliding left or right. And really, thank you for your input. Thankfully the black screens almost never happen anymore after I uninstalled TextNow. I think it has to do with its “Screen Lock” setting (put screen to sleep during calls), even after I disabled it.
