    Howdy,

Just checking, but it looks like only the one socket to charge it and thats the micro usb? do you think a powered host hub like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/SuperStore_Electronics-TM-Multi-functional-Multi-port-Smartphones-Black/dp/B00OMST66A/ref=pd_sim_sbs_23_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=057JD555NEHDNDV6RKAF might work to charge and enable usb access?

Chris – now yours has arrived could you advise on its charging time? I remember reading somewhere that the z3736 soc machines were quite slow to charge.. just wondering if the new hardware charges faster?

    Thanks!

    Fred

    I use this hub,

but it doesn’t want to charge the tablet after a few minutes. It will start charging it, but it then it stops. It works great on my X98 Air 3G and the Chuwi Vi8,Hi8 and Vi10. Not here, I will try the 3rd setting, reboot and see.

If it doesn’t work I might try this one: http://www.banggood.com/3-Port-USB-2_0-OTG-Hub-OTG-Charging-Cable-For-Mobile-Phone-Tablet-p-970000.html

Charge time is the same as the X98 Air 3G I think. Well maybe a bit quicker. It takes forever to charge when on, but off it’s around 3-4 hours from zero. I cheat using a Surface 3 charger.

I have also noticed that it must have a different battery controller as it will now finally sit at 100% when in use and plugged in. And not go to 95% and then charger to 100% and later drop and recharge like the X98 Air’s do.
