hey guys, i recently found a bug, that i cant really pin down.
randomly i see ghost touches/not properly working touchpad of the dock, lately i saw that even sometimes the touchscreen makes ghost touches.
interestingly enough this happens almost exclusively when i have an usb 3.0 2,5″ hdd connected to the tablet through an usb c – usb a adapter (tried two one from aukey and one from juiced) and normally i have to connect the second only power cable from the usb 3.0 hdd to the micro usb 3 to normal usb 3 adapter so that the hdd starts.
while transferring data, for instance copying something from the internet over wifi with a speed of max 2MB/s i often see these touchpad/touchscreen glitches.
did anyone see someting similar/comparable.
im thinking its either that the usb hdd draws too much power (its a standard 2.5″ hdd…) and something overheats and causes the touch controller to go foobar, or perhaps that the drivers for usb are still sketchy on windows 10 and bug out after a certain amount of transferring data? perhaps even my cooling mod with the copper plate somehow interferes (overheating the motherboard? or emi interference?) or just because i have set the tdp substatntially higher in the bios to 22,5w that this simply overheats the board, though while transferring the data im not doing anything compute intensive and the cpu is mostly on the lowest frequency…
any ideas?
