September 9, 2024 at 4:02 pm #234117French manicure with gel polish may indeed seem complicated, but with the right approach, everything will work out. I have already done it at home several times and can share a couple of tips. First, it is important to properly prepare your nails: degrease them, apply a base coat and dry them well in a lamp. Then apply the main color – usually a soft pink or transparent shade, and also dry them well. In order to make even “smiles”, I use special strips-stickers for French. After applying white gel polish to the tips, carefully remove the stickers and dry them in a lamp again. Finish the manicure with a top coat to fix the result and add shine. An important point is not to rush and not to apply too thick layers of polish, otherwise the lines may blur. If you are interested in good products for French, you can look at Kodi professional – it has everything you need, from bases and tops to the gel polishes themselves.

By the way, if you don’t have special strips for French, you can use regular scotch tape or even just a thin brush. It may be unusual at first, but with experience everything will work out!

For anyone wanting a quicker option or a different shape to practice on, I also found a lovely selection of almond press-on nails that pair beautifully with French tips.

The key is to apply thin layers and dry each step thoroughly. This will ensure a neat finish and a noticeably longer lasting finish.

Things became noticeably easier for me when I switched to dazzle dry manicure which offers a more stable finish that’s less finicky during application and holds its shape well. It’s more predictable and doesn’t require endless touch-ups. The system itself is quite interesting and differs from the usual gel approach in that it delivers faster results without sacrificing precision.
