    Anyone followed this tutorial?

    http://techtablets.com/forums/topic/here-is-how-to-download-the-hi8-firmware-for-reflash/

It’s so hard to follow with the bad Chinese translation. What do you do with the Android OS?

I reflashed mine using that. It worked out okay, but of hit and miss. Just make sure you flash Android first as it partitions the whole tablet, even the Windows partiton. You need to make sure to that the bios is set to boot in Android when you flash it via intel MFG and later set the bios to boot to Windows when you boot to the USB stick you made labeled WINPE.

Another option is flash directly to Windows: http://techtablets.com/forums/topic/chuwi-hi8-windows-10-android-5/

    Good luck!

Cheers, so I ended up working it out and restored my Win 8.1 and the Android OS still remained in the original partition. Now I notice that my WIn 8.1 isn’t active and I only have an Administration User can’t create new user until activated.

How can I activate the flashed Win 8.1? Btw those are both the same link.

I have got nearly the same problem. I can install win 10, but it isn’t activated. So if the way back to win 8.1 is so long (like written above) and is even not activated I am in the same sh*t.

Isn’t there any factory Image which is activated?
