Hi,
Do you know which W10 update you performed? was it 1703 or 1709? I went to 1703 without any problem.
thx
henry
November 26, 2017 at 12:44 pm #75379Update history shows several failed attempts to install 1709. I’ll try one last time to install this and then think I will try yo roll back to 1703 (installed on 15th and no issues). If I get it back and working then I’m the update system. I knew I should have chopped it for this as well. I normaly don’t allow updates for exactly this reason…
I’ll update when I have done some more roll backs…

I’ll give that a go. It’s currenty sitting there with “Getting Windows ready”… Strangly enough at the moment the screen is currenly working. I know this can take ages so I’ll leave it (over night if required) and see where I am tomorrow. It’s almost bed time for me here…
November 28, 2017 at 8:11 am #75463Well… it sort of worked … sort of disnt … sort of did.
Durring the various fixes recomended sometimes the screen will come on. Then reboot and go off. Or it will be fine for a few reboots then try an update again and lose the screen again.
I am thinking a wipe/rebuild is the way to go. Mine is the windows only version – would it be possible/safe to make it dual boot as part of this wipe process? If so is there a quide somewhere on how to do this?
Thank for your help/attention
Everso.
December 2, 2017 at 2:36 pm #75590OK. I got it back and hopefully stable. The thing that seemed to sort if out was DISM.exe (this is posted for those that follwo). However the update log is still reporting a pending update to 1709 so I am thinking of flashing it to get it all fresh. Can I convery it to dual boot as part of the process? Is there a tutorial for doing this?
Also – thanks to everyone that helped me through this process.
