Hi, I’m looking for a tablet for my mother who needs to write and make diagrams on the tablet. Unfortunately lately I don’t see many decent options.

In terms of requirements, performance isn’t critical so Pentium/Atom stuff is fine, ideally it’d be >12″, slate or yoga style, and with a good stylus. Wacom EMR ideally or something comparable with pressure sensitivity. A lot of pens I see on Chinese tablets look terrible.

A Surface Pro would be perfect of course but way too expensive. Really something like my Cube Mix+ would be fine even but they’re discontinued (and impossible to find on ebay) and if I gave her mine, I couldn’t replace it 🙂 So any ideas?

Well, FWIIW, I ended up ordering the Chuwi Ubook. About $250 for the Atom 8/256GB isn’t bad.  The pen is N-trig type I understand which isn’t perfect but should work well enough. Let’s see how this works out, it’s on the way right now from Banggood.
