    The Cube i9 can work with the battery removed, the charger can supply 30W (2.5A * 12V) which is sufficient for this device.

    Although it will always reset the BIOS settings to default if the power supply is disconnected.

    I’m so curious how this issue got solved.

    The pipo x9 (and x8 too I believe) are hybrid TV box that has a screen built in.

    It is an atom based device.

    We haven’t yet. I *think* if you have a device with a DC jack, then you can simply unplug the battery from the motherboard. If the device charges off a micro usb/usb-c cable, then you need to keep the little bit of circuitry on the battery. Or so it was explained to me from one of the electrical technicians.
