You can connect the micro-USB port of the Tablet with the USB-port of the Keyboard. Then the tablet will be first dischared and afterward, you can deconnect and the tablet work with the battery of the keyboard. Not so elegant, but works.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Seems a bit of an oversight, could this be fixed with a firmware update?</p>

    I have the same problem.
When the keyboard is discharged (not completely, but below some threshold), it can’t be used anymore.

Mine no longer functions at all – powered or not. Been searching for options to “wake” it in hopes it is software…

So it’s holding a charge? Sounds more like the pin connection maybe?

Yes, it holds a charge and can be used by the tablet as a power source. Nothing, and I mean nothing that I have tried will get the tablet to recognize the keyboard in either Windows or Android, and I have done fresh installs of both…

As to the pins – they appear to be normal.

I’ve blocked 2 pins  in the middle with insulating tape and I open it after the tablet discharged.

Also, I had a trouble – my keyboard got too hot and became a brick.

I opene the keybaord and the microscheme chip and soldered a new one ma8601

I was thinking about using tape, I don’t know of any other solution that would work
