TBook 11 not turning on anymore

Hi guys!

I left the tablet with about 50% battery left for charging on my PC. When I switched of the PC it should have stopped loading. So far no problem. But the next day nothing happened when I tried to turn it on again. The charging light also doesn’t turn on, when I attach a wall charger – I checked several of them with different USB cables. Now i checked with a USB-multimeter and the battery is indeed beeing charged with 5,26V and 0,81A, so the micros USB connector is not defective and the battery beeing charged. But as I mentioned neither the charging indicator is on nor the power button brings any effect. The combination of holding down the power button and the minus button for resetting does not show any effect either. So I opened the tablet with these special soft plastic smartphone opening tools. The only thing I noticed was that the cable from the on/plus/minus-Keys was not properly attached to the mainboard, but this could have happenend by opening the tablet. I checked all cables and they should be fine but the tablet still doesn’t work and does not show the charging light. Any ideas on this?

I had the exact problem on my 1st Tbook 11. No one knew what the problem was nor how to fix it, but a buddy informed me that the OS mus have corrupted.

 

So far the only methods of possibly salvaging it are to  create a bootable flash drive and plug up a usb hub and wired mouse & keyboard and try booting into BIOS mode.

 

I tried with no success. There is another way though. Usually, tablets like these are defaulted to secondary boot through the microSD card slot. I haven’t tried that yet as I haven’t had time, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to give it a shot.

I’ve seen your comment under this video , so I decided to check the thread. Did you got your problem fixed? No loading light and no power to my tbook11 since a few days. I found this dissembly guide, but can’t seem to get it open.

I got exactly the same problem, I contacted Gearbest, where I bought the the tablet, I begin to be a bit scared about warranty existance, I got this answer.

But I am still waiting for informations, Them policy write that they refund until 30.00$ when we return the good, but I see that now they don’t apply.

I hope to get answer before warranty end.
