Thanks for this. this fix worked for me.
However, I really want a similar fix for Manjaro as it seems to be much faster than ubuntu, however, I have no idea how to do it or even whether your fixed kernel would work with Manjaro. Do you know?
Thanks
July 29, 2018 at 6:15 pm #144887If anyone need the patched Ubuntu 4.15.0-29 kernel, https://github.com/sridwan/Ubuntu-Kernel-for-Teclast-F7
Should work with any flavour of Ubuntu.
August 5, 2018 at 8:36 pm #145199Thanks. Can you compare the responsiveness of the touchad Windows versus Linux?
August 12, 2018 at 1:25 am #145428Manjaro? It’s possible. Depends on your touchpad version. Is it Syna3602 or ELAN061D/ELAN061C?
See these links and search the Manjaro forum:August 15, 2018 at 11:01 am #145566Anyone in manjaro?, because I can not make it work, in lubuntu with the kernel ok, but I like more xfce with manjaro, it feels lighter
August 15, 2018 at 2:32 pm #145572Simply stating “I cannot make it work” tells us nothing about your problem. What is your touchpad device type (ID)? What errors are you seeing in your dmesg output?
Did you install that latest version of Manjaro XFCE and with what Kernel versions did you try? Did you report your problem on the Manjaro forum?… and did you try installing any of the previous TP patches? Go look at the threads of the links I posted above and see the debug info (Linux terminal commands) that those users provide. This is what you need to provide for people to help you fix the problem.August 23, 2018 at 5:05 pm #145776You’re right. I do it in Manjaro’s forum but in that moment nothing. I put output for if anyone solve it

what is the link to the Manjaro forum where you posted your problem? I did not see it there. EDIT: nevermind. I found it.
October 10, 2018 at 1:20 pm #147564Hello
Does anyone know when the patch comes in the official Ubuntu 18.04 kernel?
Thanks

I doubt there are any Ubuntu kernel dev’s here that could answer that. Try asking on one of the Ubuntu bug threads for this problem such as…

Hi, so if I install the latest version of Linux Mint, should the touchpad work?
