Hi,
I have a question about this post:
http://techtablets.com/2015/07/teclast-x98-air-3g-air-ii-custom-rom-mirek190-v4-2-released/
Will it be safe to use the bios 2.02 update from this tool on my Air 2 HG9M? My bios is version 1.80 so i would like to upgrade. After after the bios upgrade can i simply install this android rom without hurting my Win installation?
thx Levd

July 31, 2015 at 4:50 pm #8127No one running bios 2.02 on teclast air 2 HG9M?
August 1, 2015 at 10:39 am #8177I am running the latest 4.2 ROM and the 2.02 bios.
I first upgraded the bios then I flashed the ROM.
It works.
I have had quite a few apps crash though. I will probably move to the new official v5 ROM.August 1, 2015 at 5:20 pm #8207Hi Lasse,
do you own the Air 2 HG9M? Can you explain a little how you upgraded the Bios and the Rom?
thx Levd
August 3, 2015 at 8:31 am #8337I do own the Air II HG9M and I upgraded from 1.80 to 2.02.
I did the upgrade via Windows, and it worked flawlessly. I’ve even updated to Win 10 lately. Updating the BIOS didn’t have any adverse effect on the tablet (no partition loss of whatsoever) but I did a backup of the data, extract the win 8.1 product key, and prepared the Teclast “restore set” just in case.

Did you upgraded with the intel tool from Windows?

I have a c5j6 so it may not be same but I completely upgraded my tablet on the weekend.
First I backed up my win8.1 key and installled the 2.02 BIOS using this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61719173&postcount=9792
Then once that had worked I upgraded to Windows 10 and that worked.
Finally I upgraded from stock ROM to Mirek 4.2.2 and that worked using the install.bat file and wipe Data option (not partiton).
All partitions and OS’s worked fine.
After doing much reading I think it is important to upgrade the BIOS to 2.02 before upgrading everything.
Hope this helps
